Art of the World's Fair

A new collaboration with the Marta Herford Museum for Art, Architecture, Design involved the development of parts of the exhibition design, including wall concepts and display case design, as well as the design of the exhibition catalog. The exhibit, “Volatile Dreams,” directed its focus towards five carefully selected World’s Fairs of historically explosive nature, the magnitude and spectacle of these events, as well as the perceptions and ideas of the time. 

The design concept is oriented on the epochs of the World’s Fairs. Each chapter has a different style pertaining to the history and art of the period. The cover, printed in day glow orange, takes its inspiration from pamphlets of the World’s Fairs that screamed for attention with their slogans and loud colors.
